This is the area of the website where you can find all the information on DadZone at Hatherton Childrens Centre. Dadzone was put together in November 2009 by our Family Support Co-ordinator Judith, and is currently being run by Robert, Judith and two local dads Ricky and Lee. DadZone is for fathers to spend some precious time with their children, to bond and have fun together. We organize days out for fathers to bring their child/ren and activitiy days either at the centre or various local places, for fathers and their child/ren to work together and strengthen the father and child relationship. Plus it also gives the mothers a bit of alone time which all mothers need. Below are some activities that we have ran so far. Yum Yum - This was a fun interactive healthy eating and cooking skills workshop. Christmas Crafts - This was a fun activity, where the children got to make all kinds of fun Christmas themed crafts. Easter Crafts - This was a fun activity, where the children got to make all kinds of fun Easter themed crafts. John the Potter - This was a fun activity where children got o make their own pottery gift, and have a go on the potters wheel. Black Country Living Museum - Children and there fathers had a wonderful day experiencing what life was like in the past. Animal Man - The children had plenty of fun learning about different animals and even holding and stroking some animals. Remember we need your suggestions. If you have any ideas what you would like to do with your child/ren then please let the centre know either by calling the centre on 01922 712507 , E-mail teamhatherton@childrenscentre.walsall.org.uk or pop into the Centre and give our receptionist your ideas.
